Project Prices
THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE
INITIAL CONSULTATION.
Because I take the time to learn about your goals, your expectations, the reason for
your project...I will be able to determine how much time and effort will be required
to meet your needs. Each project is different, so billing cannot be determined until
we discuss some of the details.

Remember:  A writer, photographer, editor or producer with your best interest at
heart will take the time to learn from you and to share knowledge with you. Once
we have a common expectation (clear communication from the outset), then we can
discuss what's needed to get there... (Your Ready Writer rates are VERY reasonable!)
Each project is priced individually based on the amount of work
involved to meet your goals.

Each documentary includes a pre-interview briefing to discuss content you wish to
include, interviews with two contributors,  personal archive items like family
photos, slides, family movies and music. If you desire, we can also take additional
footage at a second location...within 10 miles of the interview(s), as long
as it's scheduled on the same day as the interview.

Your Ready Writer will submit a proposal and budget for your approval before the
production project begins. At least 50% of the cost is due when I start work...and
the remainder will be due upon completion and acceptance of the final work.
Description of Product Packages Available:
Life Story

Your Ready Writer will help you tell the story of
your own life or the life of a loved one in a
Personal Storybook Documentary on DVD
and/or as a Companion Memory Book.

Most clients who commission a Life Story
documentary on DVD request either a 30
minute or one-hour format. (An average
television news story runs about one to two
minutes!)  All Life Stories are
priced individually.
Chapter Story

This Personal Storybook Memory is a chapter
in your life...or in the life of a loved one.
Personal recollections, conversations
remembered from childhood, the story of
your beliefs and passions could each be a
topic for a compelling chapter story!

Personal Storybook Memories as a Chapter
Story on DVD generally run 5 Minutes,
10 Minutes, 15 Minutes or 30 Minutes
in length. Pricing packages are adjusted to fit
into your budget and to include the number
of people and locations you want to involve
in your project.
All Chapter Stories are priced individually.
Personal Tributes

A Personal Tribute is a great way to
commemorate a family member or loved one.
Your Personal Tribute on DVD can play an
important role in memorial services,
anniversaries, milestone birthday celebrations,
graduations and retirements.

Personal Tributes can be in either the Life Story
format (30 minutes to one hour)  or in the
Chapter Story format (10 minutes, 15 minutes
or 30 minutes in length). All Personal Tributes
are priced individually.
Corporate, Community and
Educational Stories

A Corporate story can be about this history and
success of a business...and can be used as
training tool for new employees or for
promotional purposes outside the company.

Community Stories highlight the history,
bonds and friendships of a town, school,
church, organization or group.

Educational Stories are used to help inform the
public about something...such as
environmental issues they know about.

Corporate, Community and Educational Stories
run on the Chapter Story format of either 10
minutes, 15 minutes or 30 minutes. Pricing
packages are available to fit your budget and to
include the number of people and locations
you want to include in your project. All
Corporate, Community and Educational Stories
are priced individually.
Children's Stories

Children's Stories are my daughter's brilliant
idea! We use the Chapter Story format (10, 15
or 30 minutes in length) to create a Personal
Storybook Documentary on DVD all about a
child! It can be about ANY topic...and your
little one is the center of attention!
All Children's Stories are priced individually.
Living Will On DVD

A Living Will recorded on DVD gives your
friends and family an opportunity to hear
your final wishes...and you treasured
memories you wish to share...directly from
you. Living Wills on DVD generally run 10,
15 or 30 minutes in length (like a Chapter
Story.)

A Living Will On DVD package can include
family photos, film or video footage and
additional scene footage upon request. All
Living Will packages are priced individually.
Companion Memory Books

We use the same interview process to gather
your information, but if a Companion
Memory Book is desired, a more in-depth
process is needed.
Instead of editing your story visually, Your
Ready Writer will write and edit your story
and photos to create a beautifully bound
heirloom book to share with generations to
come. Pricing is based on content, printing
costs, and research required.
All other
Business Writing projects
and Personal Writing projects
are priced individually based on the amount of research, number of interviews and scope
